 Temperament and Working Ability
Atlas von Nummer-Eins is an unmistakably masculine male of large size, possessing an outstanding disposition and balanced drives. As a dedicated working dog, he shows a natural desire to please his handler and exhibits the pronounced drive necessary for high-level performance.
One of Atlas’s most significant traits is his trainability. Due to his strong genetic foundation, he acquires new skills with remarkable speed. Despite starting his training from scratch with no prior foundation just months before his trial, Atlas successfully performed his BH routine and IGP1 with high marks. The judge specifically noted his positive attitude and deep connection with his handler, a testament to the caliber of his genetics.
Â

Atlas and Abhai taking advantage of some cold weather and practicing obedience in snow. Every weather pattern has its own signature effect on the dog, and its imperative to go out and work with your dog in different conditions to proof their training. This is a part of socialization and orientation of the dog to different/adverse conditions and being accustomed to them to function at their highest possible capability.
This was Atlas’ first time training in the snow and he loved the cold and the white powdery stuff!
Atlas performing his BH routine. He had a very nice performance with some encouraging words from the judge about his attitude and connection with the handler.Â
Â
What is significant here is that Atlas started training from scratch, without any foundation just a few short months before the trial. This speaks volumes of the caliber of dog he is and the importance of the correct genetics in the German Shepherd Dog breed.Â
